Our Company

The Fisher Burton Company was founded in 1983 by Thomas W. Fisher and J. Richard Burton, Michigan State University graduates and registered landscape architects. The company philosophy has remained simple and steadfast from day one, "Provide quality products and service at a fair price". Commitment and dedication to all our clients has been a trademark of The Fisher Burton Company for over 25 years.

We are an award-winning, full service landscape contractor. Our staff works closely with landscape architecture firms, developers, municipalities, and builders to implement unique and creative outdoor environments. We pride ourselves on our commitment to quality and our strong focus on customer satisfaction. Fisher Burton has a reputation among both clients and vendors as a highly organized, systematic, and professional operation. These qualities allow the company to function seamlessly throughout the entire Chicago region with projects in over 40 communities.

Today, the company operates from its office in unincorporated Hawthorn Woods, on Gilmer Road just south of Route 176, where it also maintains a 15 acre shade tree-only nursery. Our management staff has over 150 years of combined professional experience in the landscape industry. Weekly planning and scheduling meetings provide structure and continuity from the bidding process all the way through final construction and maintenance. We field over 100 fully unionized seasonal employees, allowing Fisher Burton the flexibility to serve a wide variety of project sizes and complexities.
